About Aileen

Aileen Mitchell Lawrimore: Mother x 3, wife x 30 (years not men), Minister, Speaker, Writer, Retreat Leader, and lover of Books and Beagles. She's got a lot to say.

Aileen is a retreat leader & public speaker: she's led events for all ages, from youth to senior adults. Since 2013, she has served as Minister with Youth and Children at First Baptist Church of Weaverville, NC.

Aileen completed a Bachelor's in History at Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC in 1987; a few years later, she got a Master's in Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. Then, at the age of 42, Aileen went back to school for the third time; she completed her Master's in Divinity at Gardner-Webb University in 2010. In 2017, she returned to GWU , entering the Doctorate of Ministry program which she will complete in 2020. Aileen and husband Jay have three adult children and a very needy beagle named Isabella.
